The title of this post comes from a phrase from a very well-known TV show and a great book series (hopefully, we’ll get to see the end of it someday). I think it matches the current state of Balanced Dungeons quite well.
If you have been reading this series, you will notice that I have put it on the fridge for a couple of months. The main reason is that I have been working on another project that is keeping my attention, time (which is really limited), and effort.
But I got some feedback from some colleagues and other game developers, and I thought there were some interesting things worth tackling.
Although, they left me at a crossroads… Should I spend more time on Balanced Dungeons, or should I continue working on my new project?
Ideally, I should spend time on both of them, but as I said, I don’t have enough time, so it was a hard choice.
But then I remembered that the idea behind this game was to improve my portfolio and go through the whole process of developing, publishing, and maintaining a game.
So I said to myself: “Let’s make it better. Let’s give it one more try and see if people like it. And if they don’t, at least I’ll have a new, more polished version of it.”
Time will tell if I was right or wrong. In the meantime, I’ll keep enjoying the ride, which is really a very important part of all this.
